The Hungarian government’s competitiveness-boosting initiative will protect 3,250 jobs in Nógrád County. 12 companies have committed to performing large-scale investments in the region.

Foreign minister Péter Szijjártó (pictured centre) said that investments at a total value of HUF 6.3 billion are set to be carried out in the county, to be supported with a total of HUF 2.8 billion from government funds.

A HUF 500 million investment to be carried out by Rétság-based AFT Hungary Kft. is to be supported with a HUF 250 million government subsidy, set to triple the plant’s current production capacity and protect 117 jobs at the company.
